Apple Plans To Raise iPhone 11 Production, Citing “Better Than Expected Demand”

However, its suppliers don’t seem as optimistic as Apple. They have had concerns that the great demand for the iPhone 11 series will probably last long.

According to the report from Nikkei Asian Review on October 04, Apple has required its suppliers to raise the iPhone 11 production by around 10%, corresponding to about 8 million devices. The reason behind it is because the volume of the sold iPhone 11 models has shown better results than expected demand.

The Nikkei pointed out Apple, in the past, had been rather conservative about order placement. And this financial newspaper added that:

Accordingly, the two models have recently had an increase in the order quantity include the iPhone 11 – the model at the lowest price out of the three models launched in September – and the iPhone 11 Pro. In addition, the iOS manufacturer has also adjusted orders for the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The most expensive model in the iPhone 11 series is now available at the price from $1,099.

However, Apple’s suppliers don’t seem as optimistic as the iOS manufacturer. They have had concerns that the great demand for the iPhone 11 series will probably last long.

Although Reuters asked Apple for comments, the company hasn’t yet given any response out of the standard business hours in the United States.

Last month, Apple released three iPhone models and in spite of their better cameras, the starting price of these products ($699) is lower than that of the iPhone XR launched in 2018 ($749).
