Apple May Launch Four New Watch Series Models, Filings Suggest

Apple filed the models on Wednesday, they are listed as A2093, A2092, A2157, and A2156, which would run on WatchOS 6.

Apple has registered four new models for its Apple Watch product line in the Eurasian Economic Commission database. The Cupertino-based company filed the models on Wednesday, they are listed as A2093, A2092, A2157, and A2156, according to MacRumors, which reported these models would run on WatchOS 6.

The next-generation smartwatch from the tech giant, the Watch Series 5, is reported to launch this fall and will feature an OLED screen. Nearly a year ago, it announced the Watch Series 4 at its annual September event, during which the company often launches new iPhone series.

In addition, reports said that Apple updated its database in the EEC to reveal more iPhones to run iOS 13, including models A2298, A2296, A2223, A2221, A2220, A2219, A2218, A2217, A2216, A2215, A2161, A2160, and A2111. Except for the A2298 and A2296 models, Apple originally filed the others in May to run on iOS 12, according to MacRumors.

The report said that Apple updated 11 MacBook model numbers it previously filed to run MacOS Catalina. Meanwhile, the tech giant is rumored to release a 16-inch MacBook Pro this year.

MacRumors said that companies are required to file in the EEC if they want to sell encrypted devices in the Russian market as well as other countries, and they have foretold the announcement of new AirPods, Macs, Apple Watches, iPad Pros, iPads, and iPhones.

Also, rumors say that the Watch Series 5 will bring about more health features, a bigger battery, sleep tracking, as well as ceramic and titanium finishes. According to rumors, in 2020, the Cupertino-based company may launch a smartwatch with a MicroLED display.

The company did not respond immediately to a comment request.
