Apple May Release An AR-Headset In 2020, According To Ming-Chi Kuo

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, who possesses a long list of accurate projections, Apple may launch an iPhone-powered VR headset in 2020

Almost everyone in the tech world is working to make use of AR and VR technology, except for Apple. It has already had its own take on the tech for its iPhones, but we have not seen a headset or similar wearable devices to improve user’s experience. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a famous Apple analyst, who possesses a long list of accurate projections about the iPhone maker’s plans, that will change in 2020.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may release its own VR headset in 2020

Kuo said that Apple would collaborate with third parties to make AR headsets, which comes as a surprise for all of us as Apple is not a company known for letting other firms joining the making of new hardware.

For now, we have no idea what the headset will look like when it is launched, but it appears that it can connect wirelessly to a close-by iPhone, which may do lots of processing and relay data. Another possibility is that the headset may simply act like wireless stereoscopic displays with all the harder tasks covered by the iPhones.

The design sounds interesting enough as if the device makes it to reality; you do not need to slip your iPhone into the headset of Google anymore. A tradeoff is that users will have to charge the device, but on the bright side, it will have a compact and stylish look.
