To have a closer look at the case, hackers changed Bachchan’s profile pic to a photo of Imran Khan – the current Prime Minister of Pakistan. On the other hand, Ayyildiz Tim had impersonated Bachchan to post a number of tweets and spread anti-India content.

Besides, Ayyildiz Tim cited a link to lead people to an “official” so-called Instagram page, which said: “We are waiting for your support”, though it’s unverified.

Apart from these, some important data of Bollywood superstar were reportedly stolen by the hacker group. According to news agency PTI, a Mumbai Police’s spokesperson said their cybersecurity team was notified about the matter then started a deeper investigation. To recall, the hacker group also attacked other accounts of Indian celebrities such as Anupam Kher and Shahid Kapoor.

On Tuesday, Bachchan's account has been completely restored from the hack, alongside all misinformation posts made by the attacker were removed. In the meantime, Amitabh Bachchan makes no comment about this unprecedented case.
