You might have several apps on your Android phone that use the Internet too much, and you want to stop them from doing so as they drain your battery or data plan much quicker. Luckily, if you are using smartphones with Android 9 Pie or later, you can do it without having to use any third-party app
How to stop apps from connecting to the Internet on Android smartphones running Android 9.0 Pie
If you are using an Android phone that runs Android 9.0 Pie or newer, then you don’t need to use any third-party app as Google already offers you a useful tool for the job.
First, you need to open ‘Setting’ and tap Wireless & Networks
After that, tap on the ‘Data Usage’

You can see a list of installed apps on your phones and also checkmarks for those apps’ access to Wi-Fi and Mobile data. If you wish to block any app from using Wi-Fi or Mobile data, you just need to uncheck boxes next to its name. For example, if you want to block an app from using Wi-Fi, uncheck the Wi-Fi box.
If you want to block a System app from using the Internet, moving to the ‘System apps’ tab and follow the same steps as mentioned above. However, you can only block those System apps from using ‘Mobile data’.
When you finish block apps from using the Internet, you can close the Settings. Whenever you open an app that is blocked from using the Internet, you will see a notification like this. Don’t tap ‘Remove’ if you still wish to keep the restriction.
Tap ‘Cancel’ and keep using that app offline
