Nicole Johnson, a New Yorker, wanted to book an Uber to go from her house to the John F Kennedy Airport. And what surprised her was that a car wasn’t the cheapest option. It was a helicopter instead.
Yes, her Uber app did show helicopter, compared to other on-road options, as the cheapest ride. She took a screenshot of the app and shared it on her Twitter account, making the netizens go crazy.
As she tried to book a ride in Uber from her place to the John F Kennedy Airport, the app showed her three options. The copter was the cheapest one at $101.39 or Rs 7218. Pool being the second cheapest one at $102.56 or Rs 7269 while UberX was the most expensive one at $126.84 or Rs 8980.
After sharing the screenshot on her social media account, Johnson received a lot of replies saying that she should choose the option for copter.
