This Rs 6.48 Lakh Pinball Machine Is The Coolest Thing You've Ever Seen

Although advanced technology has brought us smartphones with arcade-quality graphics, a pinball machine can still be something amazing to have. Or at least, that’s the case of Stern Pinball, a company that has introduced a Stranger Things table with features such as video projections as well as a clever ball trap inspired by the telekinetic power of Eleven in this series.

Pinball machines offer us a tangible playing experience that even the best gaming console or the largest screen can’t recreate. The machine offers both electronic and mechanical sounds, the erratic motion of the shiny metal ball, the hypnotic flashing lights, along with the feeling of the pinball table shaking, vibrating while your fingers and hands are perched over the buttons.

These days, there are more theme pinball machines than there used to be. Stern offers tables based on titles like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones. However, this Stranger Things table seems perfect as the series was based on the 80s while featuring some truly advanced technologies.

The company will release a few versions of the pinball machine starting 2020, including the Pro model, the Premium model, and Limited Edition model, with the latter two providing the most unique experience. The Stranger Things machine offers not only spinners, pop-up obstacles, ramps, and interactive elements, but it also has a miniature drive-in movie screen that’s placed in the middle. Here, there are clips and custom animations from the series displayed by a hidden projector. Additionally, the screen’s center folds down like the drawbridge of a castle, which creates a ramp sending balls crashing into a Demogorgon behind it.

Moreover, this machine has a part dedicated to Eleven, the main character of the series. In particular, there is a hidden electromagnet recreating her spooky telekinetic powers that grab and hold balls before releasing them at the same time. This was designed to challenge players to contend all the balls that are rolling down the table all at once.

The Pro model will cost Rs 4.34 lakh, the Premium model will cost Rs 5.48 lakh, while the Limited Edition model will have a price of Rs 6.48 lakh.
