This AI Can Be Installed In Bars To Know Which Customer Is Next In Line

If you have ever come across a jerk who makes his way around to get to the front and get served immediately, you might think AI Bars sounds great.

On August 1, DataSparQ, an AI firm from London, announced its plans on launching AI Bar, which is a software package using facial recognition technology to make sure that customers in pubs can be served in the right order when they approach the bar.

AI Bar, a software package uses facial recognition technology to ensure that customers in pubs can be served in the right order.

The idea behind this software is that customers will not have to worry about someone cutting the line when they wait to order their drinks. However, privacy experts then warn that it is not worth it to trade your personal information just to get a drink quicker.

There are three parts to the AI Bar system: DataSparQ’s software, a camera, and a display screen. The camera’s live feed will be displayed through the screen which is placed to record all customers waiting to make an order. The DataSparQ system then notes which customers come first and places around their faces which are shown on the screen a circle and a number.

Even if the customers are out of the camera’s view, the facial recognition technology makes sure that their places are kept in order. If you have ever come across a jerk who makes his way around to get to the front and get served immediately, you might think something like AI Bars sounds great.

However, director Silkie Carlo of Big Brother Watch which is a UK nonprofit focusing on civil liberties protection said that a drink is just not worth it to submit your information to face scans even if the data is then deleted from the system within 24 hours like how DataSparQ said in a press release.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Carlo said:
