These Women Went On Twitter Seeking A Partner For Their Single Mothers And It Went Virals

It’s 2019 already and modern society no longer consider a second marriage disgraceful, and these women are proving that with their posts on Twitter.

It’s 2019 already and modern society no longer consider a second marriage disgraceful, or at least, we now have more freedom than we did before with our life. And the changes we see now all start from with just one or two people, everybody else follows.

And a woman took the first step to break the stereotype around remarriage when she posted an ad for her single mother on Twitter.

Some days ago, Aastha Varma, the name of the Twitter user, posted a tweet to ask for a groom for her 50-year-old mother. Her request went viral instantly with users praising her for her brave action to go beyond the societal rule.

Following the bold move of Aastha Varma, another girl posted a similar request on Twitter. Mohini, handling the account @mohini_vig, shared a selfie with her mother, who is 56 years old, to look for a groom for her. She also included some requirements for the future groom: a loving man, nondrinker, nonsmoker, and vegetarian who is between 55 and 60 years old.

Aastha also retweeted Mohini’s ad, writing that she felt happy about this. She expressed that all men and women deserve to have a partner regardless of how old they are that makes them happy.

However, there still exist stereotypes and unwritten rules, especially when it comes to marriage, from finding a suitable partner, someone from the same community, and marrying at the right age.

But with people like Mohini and Aastha, we have hopes that society will change in a positive direction.
