The US Now Has The Most CO.VID-19 Cases In The World, Surpassing China And Italy

The US has officially had more COVID-19 cases than China and become the country with the most confirmed cases in the world, with over 85,000 cases.

The United States has officially had more COVID-19 cases than China and become the country with the most confirmed cases in the world, just a few days ago, it was at the top four. Specifically, as of now, there are 85,594 confirmed cases in the US while China has 81,340 cases. The top five countries with the most cases also include Italy with 80,589 cases, Spain with 57,786 cases, and Germany with 43,938 cases.

The ongoing pandemic has claimed over 1,100 lives in the US. To compare, Italy has had about 8,200 deaths, Spain has recorded 4,100 deaths due to the virus. Meanwhile, there have been 3,300 deaths in China, 2,200 people in Iran dying from the disease, and 1,700 deaths in France.

On Thursday, during a task force briefing at the White House for the pandemic, President Donald Trump said that the number of cases rocketed thanks to testing. He stressed that the country is doing a lot of testing.

The President has argued that the actual number of cases in China is uncertain and he would speak with the President of China Xi Jinping.

However, experts predict that COVID-19 may peak for 6 months and may last for up to 18 months, so the difficult time is still ahead.
