In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, people all around the world are trying to spend their lockdown time searching for plenty of things on the Internet.

As being kept at home to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, people all around the world are trying to spend their time searching for plenty of things on the Internet. There are some interesting search trends on Google highlighted this week that can bring some fun for your lockdown experience.

According to Google, the search trend that is having the first place in the line is “clapping”. It is used for showing mental support to all of the healthcare providers who are directly donating their lives to the fight with coronavirus. Particularly, people tend to search with “clap because we care” and “clap for key workers”, and these terms are found most popular in the UK, Singapore, Ireland, India, and the UAE.

In terms of kids and family on-trend searching, Google recorded a sharp increase of 2,600% in the term “home science experiments for kids”. Obviously, these experiments are attracting attention more than ever before.

Therefore, “How to fix sleep schedules” has been the most searched “how to” this week.

As a result of being restricted from going out, people are finding virtual field trips as well. The most recommended app is Google’s Arts and Culture, which contains virtual tours to famous museums from every country. Another app followed by is Airbnb, which provides users with cyber experiences that are available for signing up.

Americans are now trying to spend their lockdown time either learning to do TikTok dance or learning science. TikTok has become viral to everyone, from the young to the whole family. Unsurprisingly, most of them have become amateur TikTokers during this lockdown.
