This Company Will Pay You Rs. 80 Lakhs To Use Your Face On Robots

Participants' faces will reportedly be used on humanoid robots that care for the elderly. The project will be disclosed next year

A company named Geomiq in the U.K working in additive manufacturing is offering a sum of money for anyone willing to sign over a deal that lets the company uses his or her physical appearance.

Anyone interested in giving the way their faces look away will be given $125,000 (roughly Rs. 8,800,000). The data will be used to build humanoid robots that are reportedly for caring for the elderly and they will be introduced in 2020. Not all participants will scoop that sum of money, however. The company will only choose the ones they feel suitable and pay for the right to use their physical appearance.

The company said that a few weeks ago, it was reached by a robotic company asking if it wanted to help with a line of humanoid robots. No detail of the contract has been revealed as Geomiq has signed a non-disclosure agreement.

According to the U.K-based company, only the friendly and kind faces will be picked, and only the chosen ones that advance through the process will be filled in with more information on the project.

The company said that it was well aware that letting someone else have the right to use your faces was a huge decision to make. Anyone interested in this plan can submit their photos to faces@geomiq.com.
