Reliance Jio Releases Video Call Bot To Enhance Users' Experience

Reliance Jio has got a jumpstart into the Indian market when unveiling its own AI-powered Video Call Assistant. The service will help businesses in automating customer support as well as other communications. To work on this service, Reliance Jio has been partnered up with a Reliance Industries-owned company called “Radisys”. According to the company, it doesn’t require users to install any additional app for activation, but a 4G phone call.

Executives from Reliance Jio said on Monday that the company has already deployed this service, and HDFC Bank is also counted as a customer. As shown in a demo video, users will be offered a video chat option after they dialed a regular phone number. Once tapped, a video message pre-recorded in advance would greet them as usual. The human-looking bot boasts a number of AI-based capabilities, which are not only accurate but also extremely potent. In particular, when being asked about the interest rate on personal loans, it gave an exact answer with no delay. A company's spokesperson added that the company's bot service is available to all customers, even they're large or small businesses.

The telecom operator is also adding audio/text bot options to brands, suggesting a developer toolkit namely Jio Bot Maker. This generator will help brands take advantage of an AI assistant from scratch in just a matter of minutes.

As part of the plan to attract more businesses all around the country, the company will continue to ease complicated and unwilled processes, such as boring call-hold music customers had to face when they make a phone call to the company's customer service.
