NASA Scientists Recently Found 'Ice Water' On Mars

NASA has successfully published a “treasure map” which is based on the prediction of ice located below the surface of Mars.

As being proven by a lot of researchers in the world, the factor that is considered to be of top importance in finding another planet to live on is water availability. With the aim of creating a reliable tool for water searching on the Earth’s neighbor - Mars, NASA has successfully published a “treasure map” which is based on the prediction of ice located below the surface of this planet.

The name “water ice” is used by the creators of the map as a purported name because they are still not sure about the components of the ice. According to the map, the closer to the surface of the planet the ice is, the cooler colors they have. The ice that is predicted to be 2.5 centimeters below the land can be easily seen by upcoming astronauts.

In his own blog post, Sylvain Piqueux, who is a scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a lead author, claimed that one only needed a shovel to dig up the ice. Also stated in the blog was his brief report of the team’s data collection of potential water ice hidden below the Martian surface. He affirmed they were trying their best to find the most accessible ice for astronauts to locate on.

It is an undeniable fact that the discovery of water availability will contribute hugely to human beings’ mission of finding an Earth-resemble planet to relocate. Besides, it could also assist in location identification of Space X’s mission to Mars. Moreover, finding water on Mars could obviously enable human survival without the need for spending a lot of time and money to transport water from the Earth by rockets. Unfortunately, it will be such a long distance to reach that moment, because scientists can not think of a measure to stop water evaporating too quickly due to Mars’ thin atmosphere yet.

Most of us hold a strong belief in NASA’s great effort on the ground that they did find the sign of iced water in 2008 when their Phoenix crews explored it after a month landing. This treasure map is expected to bring promising results for both astronomy in particular and human being in general.
