Recently, international news headlines report a strange case of a 28-year-old married Indian man who lied to his family about being infected with COVID-19 in order to elope with his lover.

After the bizarre call, Mishra’s wife called her brother to ask for help. And she was advised to come to the Navi Mumbai police to file a missing person’s report.

After receiving the report, the police carried out an investigation and checked all the labs near the man’s last known location. And none of them had tested anyone whose name is Manish Mishra.

The police checked his employer and found out that he had already been fired for being involved in a fraud attempt. By talking to his friends, they discovered that Mishra had been having an affair.

On September 15, he was taken back to Navi Mumbai to reunite with his family.

Based on his last location tracked through his phone, the police scanned the CCTV footage of the family and saw him getting into a car. With the help of his friends, the man was found to be in Bhawarkua, Indore, Madhya Pradesh where he was living with his mistress.
