Here's What Made Elon Musk Confess That He Was 'Extreme Dumb'

Musk also concluded that satisfying everyone is forever impossible.

While the world is still having to suffer from the second wave of COVID-19 virus, Elon Musk’s space powerhouse SpaceX has witnessed several strange weeks which could potentially cause it to be the first private corporation to launch human to orbit.

Now, when only a few days left before SpaceX’s launching two NASA astronauts to the ISS aboard its Crew Dragon spacecraft, the company’s president spent his precious time on rethinking about the bizarre twists and participating in Bloomberg’s interview. He also emphasized that he had experienced an extremely intense period of time.

Some of his tweets were definitely dumb, according to Musk.

When being interviewed, Elon Musk shared with his biographer - Bloomberg’s Ashlee Vance - that he did not satisfy with his tweets all the time. In fact, some of them were pretty dumb. Luckily, the good outnumber the bad, he said.

One of those “pretty dumb” tweets could not help but mention his last-month post full of anger: “FREE AMERICA NOW!”. It was tweeted during the U.S. national lockdown, which was implemented to keep people safe from the fatal virus. However, being the key factor leading to the low productivity of Elon Musk’s electric cars, the national lockdown wasn’t an exception to his criticism.

Moreover, he even regarded the social distancing rule as “fascist” during his earnings call with investors in late April. Obviously, that Musk has been keeping his indifferent attitude to the coronavirus was not something that should be praised. And he still refused to change his mind.

Musk concluded that satisfying everyone is forever impossible.

He expressed his doubt over the statistics of COVID-19 confirmed cases really clearly with Vance. He assumed that those numbers could not be trustful because some people might suffer from COVID-like symptoms but not actually infected. The statistics might not be 100% reliable owing to the appearance of hundreds of symptoms similar to the COVID-19’s.

At the end of the interview, Elon Musk also concluded that satisfying everyone is forever impossible, especially on social media platforms like Twitter. He admitted sometimes the non-controversial topics might make readers boring, so rejecting widely-accepted results, such as coronavirus statistics, will make him stand out from the crowd. However, there still remain some of the things he stated that he wishes he could retract.
