China FORCED Italy To BUY Back The Masks Italy DONATED To It Weeks Ago

According to a source in the White House, China is forcing Italy to buy back the masks and medical supplies the country donated to China just weeks earlier.

Last month, Beijing sent a plan full of respirators and masks to Italy as the COVID-19 pandemic is slipping out of the European country’s control. At first sight, it seems like a donation but later, the source said that China is actually selling these medical supplies.

A senior administration official of the White House said that Beijing is forcing Rome to buy the very masks and respirators Italy donated when Wuhan was still the epicenter of the outbreak.

As stated by the official, when COVID-19 started in China, Italy sent tons of personal protective equipment to help. Now, when Italy takes a big hit, China sent some of the supplies back and even charge Italy for them.

Last month, Spain had to send back 50,000 test kits as they return false results. The country before that had bought £382 million worth of gloves, masks, and ventilators from China.

After the Dutch government ordered a recall of 600,000 masks made by China as they fail to meet quality standards, Beijing warned nations to check the instructions accompanying the masks carefully.

The Chinese government has been constantly under fire as some nations accused it of keeping vital information of the pandemic from the rest of the world.

As of today, Italy’s number of positive cases is 135,586, with 17,127 deaths, and 24,392 people recovered from the disease.
