Andhra Bank Unveils AI Virtual Assistant For Its Customers

A partnership has recently been announced between Andhra Bank and Floatbot to release an AI-based virtual assistant for the benefit of online account holders. They integrate the ABHi chatbot, which is a product of Floatbot, into CBS (Core Banking Servers) of Andhra Bank to digitally engage and provide automated support for the government bank’s 5 crore customers.
Floatbot is also developing another chatbot to facilitate the automation of training and on-boarding of more than 20,000 Andhra Bank's internal employees. Floatbot is part of NASSCOM’s Centre of Excellence for Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, initiated by Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka. The company claimed in a statement:

Some current clients of Floatbot include CESC (Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation), PCMC (Pimpri Chinchwad Municipality Corporation), Kauvery Hospital, Rajkot Municipality, AfDB (African Development Bank) and Shaadi.com. Floatbot has even developed an AI-powered Voicebot engine integrated with Contact Center stack that caters to customers who prefer to converse vocally on phone.
At present, languages used in the Voicebot are only Hindi and English, but the company is working on the addition of other India's languages like Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Tamil.
